Counselling - focusing on past and present
Live Lightly Counselling & Personal Development offers professional, wholistic counselling for those who need support during times of overwhelming emotions and grief, and also for those who need to address unresolved and painful events.

Individual sessions, couples counselling and family therapy are all available, either in-person at Stafford Heights, North Brisbane (QLD) or online.
To begin a counselling journey is an act of courage and strength. Reaching out and opening up to someone you don't know can be confronting. It is a common experience for clients to begin their first session feeling tense and emotional. However, due to the gentle, therapeutic nature of counselling, they usually leave the session with a smile on their face and a tangible sense of hope.
Overall, the desired outcome of engaging in counselling is to experience less emotional pain and improved happiness and fulfillment in everyday life.
Lifestyle Coaching - focusing on present and future
Live Lightly Counselling & Personal Development offers a wholistic Personal Development Program which is designed to take clients on a journey of self-discovery, insight and learning new ways to ‘do life’. Clients are fully supported in an understanding environment, whilst being challenged to implement new disciplines which build confidence and strength, empowering them to live a more productive and fulfilling lifestyle.
The following is a basic outline of topics addressed, based on a flexible ten week program:
Part 1: Client assessment: strengths and weaknesses, personality analysis, how client reacts to and copes with stress.
Part 2: Coping skills training: body awareness and regulation, breathing and relaxation exercises, worry control, nutrition and exercise.
Part 3: Goal setting and time management: clarifying values, setting and working towards goals, combatting procrastination, time management.
Part 4: Improving relationships: communication skills, learning to listen, assertiveness training, avoiding manipulation, handling conflict.
This program is flexible and can be tailor designed to meet individual needs. There is also an option to gather in small groups with a maximum of three clients per group, to save costs and glean from others.
